The Emblems were one of many bands that formed in high school, and one of not as many, that stuck around for awhile, although with some member changes. As the Emblems, the band gave us two 45’s in 1967. The first (while both on the Lamia label) boasted the Sam & Dave tune “Hold On, I’m coming”, with an original “that girl of yours” on the flip. The 2nd 45 contained a cover of the local legends “Sir Winston & the Commons” ” We’re Gonna Love”, as well as another original tune “Lumberjack Jack”.
