Bio: The Emeralds formed in Greenwood, Indiana and recorded their only 45 in March 1966. Working through the usual County Fair / local Battle of the Bands / young America Band Battle at the State Fair, the Emeralds trekked off to Chicago to the Teen-Age World’s Fair. The Emeralds 45 – “Like father like son” / “Emerald City” is rumored to have 800 pressed and is highly sought after. In 1967 the Emeralds changed some members and morphed into the “Boroughed Tyme” and lasted into 1968. | |
