Stencil Forest, from Elkhart, is a progressive rock band influenced by bands like Kansas, Styx and Genesis. They have released two albums, 25 years apart. 1980 saw the release of Opening Act on their Real Time Records label; the band was on hiatus for a time but reformed to release The Abyss on CD in 2005, with a slightly different lineup. Their albums are well regarded by fans of this vein of progressive rock. Frank Casella and Stan Swaim were also in the band Al’ter E’go, which released an album in 1985. |
