Hometown: Evansville | |
B.F. Trike was formed by the remaining three members of Hickory Wind following that band’s demise. Unlike Hickory Wind, B.F. Trike was an active live band, playing regularly in the Evansville region for two years. They opened for Grand Funk Railroad, Mott the Hoople, Ten Years After, Cactus and others, in addition to playing clubs and dances. Comparable to Hickory Wind in sound, B. F. Trike tends more towards melodic heavy psychedelic rock. They traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to record an album in response to label interest from RCA and United Artists. However, they were not signed, and eventually broke up. The recording was released, finally, in the late 1980’s, on Rich Haupt’s Rockadelic Records and a label called Atlas Records. Subsequently it has been issued on CD by Rockadelic and by German label Common Sounds. |
