Babyface, born Kenneth (Kenny) Edmonds, was a founding member of the funk-soul group Manchild, which released two LP’s in the late 1970’s. This group also included Reggie Griffin, who has had a long career in techno and dance music. Relocating to Los Angeles after the breakup of Manchild, Edmonds played keyboards for The Deele until 1988. Embarking on a solo career during that time, he has released several albums as Babyface, becoming a highly successful hitmaker, producer and songwriter. He was given a Hollywood Star of Fame in 2013, and has a street named after him in Indianapolis. Babyface is one of the most famous and successful musicians to come from Indiana. |
