The Black Conspirators, hailing from Anderson, released one 45 in 1971, “Just Got To Be Free/L-O-V-E” but it’s a much loved and highly sought record, and seems to exist in very small numbers.  Both sides have appeared on different vintage soul compilations by the label Now Again Records.

Guitarist Lelon Windham later played guitar in the popular soul band Aquarian Dream.
