Ebony Rhythm Funk Campaign begins where Ebony Rhythm Band, its predecessor, leaves off. Members of Ebony Rhythm Band and King James Version migrated to Los Angeles, where they launched the new band featuring lead vocals from Pamela Tanner. Between 1973 and 1976, two LP’s and two 45’s were released. The band also spent some time in Chicago. Despite major label releases on MCA, Uni and Chi-Sound, the band did not break through commercially, and disbanded around 1978. | |
