Toxic Reasons was formed in Dayton, Ohio in 1979 and became a well known punk band which toured across the US. They released 10 albums, culminating with No Peace In Our Time, released in 1995; a live album was released in 2014. They also released several 7″ records and were involved with multiple labels, including Alternative Tentacles and Bitzcore. Beer City, a Milwaukee label, released the live album and has reissued other material. The band had several personnel shuffles which are detailed at the Wikipedia link. Their connection with Indianapolis was significant, as they recorded albums and singles there, and band members Tufty Clough, J.J. Pearson and Terry Howe were from Indianapolis. While their early days were in Dayton, the later version of the band was based in Indianapolis. This is a classic case of a band having a foot in two states. Clough has been a member of The Zero Boys, Bigger Than Elvis and The Last Four, and owns the Radio Radio club in Indianapolis. Pittman later played with New Regrets. |
