The World Column, hailing from Munster, Indiana morphed from the Segrams in late 1966. The World Column recorded two 45s that defied the pop sounds of the day and command attention from collectors. Midnight Thoughts / Lantern Gospel, on the Atco label. With the B-side being decidedly psychedelic. So is the Sun / It’s Not Right , on Tower label being a “northern soul” staple. The band was disappointed with the lack of attention the 45s brought and disbanded in mid 1970. |
