Black Magic was from Fort Wayne, releasing one 45 in 1972 that is very scarce and highly sought, “Brainwash/Strong Message”. Not much has been written about them, though. They recorded on Bet It’s a Hit label, which is probably the same label as Bet Records or a side label; Bet Records was based in Fort Wayne as well. Black Magic was a very commonly used band name so there are a number of other recordings by bands of this name, adding to confusion. |
